ABOUT US
MĀNOA HONEY & MEAD
As beekeepers, artists, and mead-makers, we are deeply appreciative of Nature’s wonders.
In honor of Nature’s gifts, we hone our crafts within the “Golden Triangle” —
the special relationship between plants, bees, and mankind.
Yuki and Erika, from Japan, own and operate Mānoa Honey & Mead which was originally founded in Mānoa Valley in the late 90's. Since our 2014 inception, we have put our passion into producing the finest products.
Now, we have expanded into a full line-up of raw honey to honey infusions, specialty hive products and proudly being O'ahu's one-and-only Hawaiian craft meadery.
Our Bees, Our Honey
Our raw Hawaiian honeys are created from the elements of paradise. Lush tropical flowers, island sunshine, gentle showers, trade winds, and mauka rainbows — all contribute to their unique taste.
We harvest some of the world’s best honey from the most remote islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. We raise bees all around O’ahu. Hot, dry west side of O’ahu is a prime location for our White Kiawe Honey. On the other side of the island, our bees forage on Christmas Berry blossoms near the coastline of the North Shore. We harvest fresh bee pollen daily in central O’ahu. Every apiary has unique flora that offers special and distinguished honey flavors.
Our Mead
In 2020, we launched our first batch of mead to the local Hawaii market.
We use Hawaiian honey and tropical fruits to make mead that is crisp, fruity and refreshing with light bubbles. Perfect to enjoy in the hot and humid Hawaiian climate.
We are one of the few mead producers who use our own honey to craft the mead.
Our Team
We are a small, family-owned-and-operated beekeeping company with teams of beekeepers and a honey house crew, working hard every day – just like bees!
Our goal is to express the beauty of the special relationship between plants, bees, and mankind – the "Golden Triangle” – through our products, crafts, art and services.
